Yay! After missing its last few visits for various reasons (including being out of the country, a snowstorm, and being far away from the airport occupied with other activities), today I finally got to see the "NBA" livery A380 (A6-EOD) with my own eyes at last!

As an extra bonus, the "airport sheep" have finally returned - with lambs too to boot!
And to make things even cooler, Cathay Pacific's A350 was also there to join the party!
Pity they're only flying to Christchurch direct over summer nowadays! If they had done so 10-15 years ago when we actually did still go to Hong Kong (and Grandpa was still alive for us to visit him there), that would've been perfect! Alas, it's a case of missed timing now 😥
~~~
Speaking of missed timing, I actually almost missed today's landing! Despite planning to leave at 1:30 to arrive with plenty of time before the 2pm arrival, our visitor was running about 10 minutes early (!)... and worse still, I got stuck behind a *really slow driving truck* for most of the last critical stretch! Aarrrgh!!!
Luckily I did make it, finding my intended spot available with ample parking (and two cute sheep sitting in the foreground to boot!), where I promptly dove straight in, yanked the parking brake and cut the power, before jumping out as fast as I could, only to see... aaahh... incoming on short final already!!! (As a result, by the time I managed to frame up a shot, the first I could get was the plane passing through a gap in the trees, and not a little distance before the trees as I had first seen it)
