Last night, for the first time in ages I did some random doodling to relax a bit before heading to bed. Inspired by one of these, I spent a few hours tonight trying to convert these pencil sketches to 3D renders :)

Bedtime Sketches - 6/7 May

Over the past few nights, I've been having a bit of fun doodling some characters before heading off to bed. Looking back over the years, it seems this is becoming a bit of a yearly tradition - that April/May tend to be quite productive months for creating some late-night doodles...

Bedtime Doodles

Just some random sketches made at the end of a long week (of frantic but productive hacking). For now, no hardware+software combination quite matches the immediacy and control of a humble pencil and paper.

A few simple characters/objects, starting from a characteristic curve or two as usual...

If only there were more buildings of sculptural beauty in town in future... (pity, the architects, engineers, and stingy property developers here probably can't figure out how such things can be built :P)
