After a week of rather frantic hacking, collecting experimental data (thankfully all via computer vs the hassles of experiments in the physical domain, but still there was some tedium there and all done in a rush), and writing and rewriting reports, assignments crush is now over (for a short time at least). Mid-semester break to the rescue again!
During what little downtime I could afford this week (between lectures, but not really long enough to justify trying to log onto a lab computer and getting a work environment set up there), I took a few walks around a
park-like place across the road from campus. The shots above were taken during this time - mostly of the duck population there (who were initially very very shy when approached, but later more accustomed to me in general that I got some of those shots of them). However, I also captured some of the flowers that were emerging... a sign that spring is on the way at last :D
Most of these (except the last) have no post-processing applied (the first two duck shots had some minor sharpening/USM applied to boost them a bit). Overall, it was quite relaxing (and probably darn therapeutic) taking short walks around there during breaks.
Anyways, I'm off now for a few days taking a break from doing any serious coding now (and catching up on some sleep), before embarking on some new projects - both Blender-related and other long-overdue ones - (and assignments due, after the break!). Who knows... I might have some more fun taking snaps of some more moving stuff ;)
very nice pictures josh!
