So, it's been a while since I've posted any macro photos here, so here are some recent ones...
Bumblebees on bottlebrush (or pohutakawa, or rata) flowers. Ever since I first saw such a photo several years ago, I've been trying to take one "better" than that (it was great, but I felt that it could've been a bit better still). For the record, this isn't it yet (this is a bit OOF), but the sharp eyed out there may have already noticed that this is the photo in the background of the screenshot in this post.
Here's another shot that's a bit better, but still not what I'm after...
Moving on to another subject now.
An semi-attempt at a "low key" strawberry shot, though it seems that the indirect lighting (read: "GI") from the black groundplane reflecting the strawberry kindof ruined that. Anyways, this strawberry is the largest to come from our old strawberry plant for years, and is one of many, as you can see...
Suddenly this oldie was suddenly forming heaps of new fruit. However, after the blasted black birds (why won't the pretty ones come more often!) got to the nearly-but-not-fully-ripe strawberries on the new strawberry plants we'd gotten this year, I wasn't going to let them get to this one first!
Cherry strawberry...
Another perspective...
My 2nd-favourite shot (the first was my favourite). These 3 shots were done on top of a house-paint colour chart, which I figured would make an interesting background for these...
Hungry yet? :)
Hi, Joshua!
ReplyDeleteI really like this macro-photograph with a bumblbee on a pohutakawa. The very nice flower :)
Also I like the last photograph with a cherry strawberry!
Here is my piece of art:
