Following the success of the first episode of the Caminandes (or "Llama Drama") short, the original team have been joined by several other well known Blender artists to produce a second installment as a Blender Foundation Open Movie Project in Amsterdam!
Follow the team's progress on their blog and join the presale funding campaign! I'm looking forward to seeing what they come up with.

Depsgraph - First Milestone Reached - Depsgraph Module Compiles!
I'm pleased to announce that the first milestone towards getting the new Depsgraph engine into Blender has finally been passed. As of a few minutes ago (4pm local time, 14th September 2013), the code I've been working on in a separate repo can now be dropped into the Blender codebase and compiled (*). Woohoo!
(*) Of course, a few caveats do still apply ;)

Tip: Vim Config Files on Windows
On Windows, Vim's config files appear to be stored/read from:
C:\Users\%UserName%\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Vim
Unlike on Linux, simply placing a ".vimrc", or a "_vimrc" in your "Home" directory (aka C:\Users\%UserName%\) has no effect.

Depsgraph - Transform Component Graph Building
Following on from yesterday's notes about the stages for how Pose Component graphs are constructed, this post covers the graph for the "Transform" Component. Once again, I've had these notes lying around for a while (in fact, this particular notes dates back from the start of August, and predates much of the current work that's in place now), and haven't really had time to scan them in or post them until now (BTW, I've decided to just split these up into smaller chunks for easier handling).

A Face on a Spoon...
This afternoon, I took some time off/away from a computer to recharge/relax after a long and busy week, spending some time taking photos of things around the house. When reviewing these shots, I noticed that on one of these, there appeared to be a bit of a face on one of the spoons lying in the sink...
Neat eh?
